KNUST E-Learning Centre Receives Two New Drones for Training Unit

The KNUST E-Learning Centre has received two new drones from the Agri-Impact team to support its drone training work under the HAPPY Programme.

The drones were delivered by Professor Nana Ewusi Mensah, project lead for the E-Agripreneur initiative. The two drones have been added to the existing set of nine already in use at the Dan F. Acquaye Drone Innovation and Simulation Unit.

This brings the centre closer to the full number expected under the project. The delivery follows earlier communication between the Agri-Impact team and the centre about completing the batch.

The Dan F. Acquaye Unit was set up to train students, young professionals, and agripreneurs in drone operation, mapping, and agricultural applications.

It forms part of the wider effort to introduce digital tools into farming and agribusiness.

The new drones will be used for training, simulation, demonstrations, and practical field activities.

The E-Learning Centre continues to work with the Agri-Impact Limited and other partners involved in the HAPPY Programme to prepare learners for technology-based work in agriculture.

The centre plans to integrate the new drones into upcoming sessions and expand training access as more equipment arrives.
